Cordoba is one of the places that has stuck in my memory ever since we visited three years ago. I wanted to come back again and get lost in its little streets with traditional houses that remind me of my childhood neighborhood in Colombia. After a long morning of walking and exploring with the boys, we headed to the Medina Azahara, which are the archeological ruins of a vast, fortified Arab Muslim medieval palace-city. All of these historical places we visit along the way have great meaning for David's research, and he loves sharing them with us. It is a great way to make his work more tangible and comprehensible for the boys.
